The Mobile Harvesters

Ariv Diggi
Hi! I’m Ariv Diggi, a student-athlete finishing my junior year at Mountain View High School. This initiative started with something simple: walking through my neighborhood and noticing fruit trees overflowing with oranges, tomatoes, and lemons, left untouched. As someone who also gardens, I know how often we end up with more produce than we can use. At the same time, through my nonprofit delivering care packages to unhoused individuals in San Francisco, I’ve seen how many people lack access to fresh, healthy food.
That gap sparked an idea: what if we could collect the extra fruits and vegetables growing in our backyards and deliver them to those in need?
I’ve always enjoyed helping others—whether it’s distributing care packages, or teaching STEM to elementary schoolers through STEM Together, the Mountain View chapter of the national STEM For Others organization, where I serve as Chapter President. When I’m not organizing produce pickups or designing lesson plans, you’ll probably find me on the basketball court or working on another idea to make a difference.

Connor Kao
Hi, I’m Connor Kao — a senior and student-athlete at Mountain View High School. At heart, I’m a creator. Whether it’s launching new business ideas, painting murals, or writing speeches, I love bringing ideas to life. As a passionate soccer player and all-around sports enthusiast, I thrive on teamwork, energy, and purpose. One of my favorite childhood memories is picking persimmons from the huge tree in our backyard every fall. We’d bag them up and give them to anyone who’d take them — friends, neighbors, coworkers, and any other persimmon lovers we knew! Like many other families in our community, we often couldn’t keep up with the rapid ripening of persimmons each year, and that’s when I realized I could turn this waste problem into a purpose.

Noah Shahraz
Hi! I’m Noah Shahraz, a senior and student-athlete at Mountain View High School. Some of my earliest memories are of picking grapefruit with my mom in our backyard — a small tradition that made me notice how much fresh fruit often goes to waste in our community. Joining Mobile Harvesters wasn’t just about cutting down on that waste — it was about building something bigger. Something that brings people together, creates connections, and makes a real difference.

Whether I’m on the basketball court, coaching younger players, or tutoring other students, I’m always looking for ways to take on challenges and make a difference. I’m proud to be part of a team that’s turning local action into lasting impact.
